If you are sick, have a fever, or have been exposed to COVID-19, please stay home.
The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19 is extremely contagious and is believed to spread mainly from person-to-person contact. By entering these premises and/or the event, you (a) acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that you may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 and that such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, and death, (b) voluntarily agree to assume all of the foregoing risks and accept sole responsibility for any injury, illness, damage, loss, claim, liability, or expenses, of any kind (“Claims”), that you may experience or incur, and (c) hereby release, covenant not to sue, discharge, and hold harmless the venue, event promoter(s), vendor(s), and each of their respective parents, members, partners, affiliates, divisions, subsidiaries, and landlords and their respective officers, directors, and employees from Claims of any kind arising out of or relating thereto.
SCREAM 2021 will be participating in Alberta's Restriction Exemption Program which will allow us to operate as per usual with the exception of masking. In order to keep our community smiling, dancing, and entertained safely - a negative COVID-19 test or proof of full vaccination will be required in exchange for your SCREAM wristband.
For patrons who are not fully vaccinated, a negative COVID-19 test result must be obtained within 72 hours of attending SCREAM. Boodang Music Canada will be offering on-site rapid testing for all SCREAM attendees on October 28th, 29th, and 30th at the Edmonton Expo Centre via our private provider RapidLive Testing Solutions.
Our rapid testing centre is dedicated and available to all SCREAM attendees, regardless of your vaccination status. If you just want reassurance - please feel free to get tested before attending the event. Should you produce a positive test result - your ticket will be immediately refunded.
Although we have the capacity to test over 3,000 attendees per day, it’s absolutely essential that you book your test in advance. Boodang will cover the cost of your test, but there is an administrative fee of $25.00 to secure your booking. This fee helps us pay for nurses, and trained professionals that will administer the test. Depending on your insurance company, you may also submit this cost to them for reimbursement.
Results from testing will be produced within 15minutes, at which time you’ll receive your wristband for the event. None of your private information will be kept - our system will associate your ticket number with your test results which will be immediately discarded as soon as your results are given back to you.
Out of town guests that require testing will have priority to slots on Saturday October 30th, 2021 between 3PM-4PM. Testing & advanced wrist-banding will occur in the Alberta Ballroom at the Edmonton Expo Centre with access via Entrance 5. Please follow the signs.
Additionally, if you do not wish to use our testing program, you may get your test from any private provider: https://www.alberta.ca/assets/documents/covid-19-rapid-testing-third-party-health-service-vendors-businesses.pdf

The City of Edmonton has voted to reinstate a mask mandate bylaw for Edmonton starting on Sept 3rd. The measure will be in effect until Dec 31st, unless city council determines the bylaw should be renewed or rescinded sooner. Additionally, if active case counts in the Edmonton area fall below 100 per 100,000 people, the bylaw would be automatically struck. For more information, please read here: https://www.alberta.ca/masks.aspx
In certain circumstances, you might be exempt from wearing a mask. Anyone unable to wear a mask due to an approved medical condition will require a medical exception letter from an authorized health professional.
We're fortunate enough to have such a large facility to host SCREAM this year. There will be designated areas where you can have your mask off for eating + drinking! If you have an ULTRA VIP table, you + your guests are not required to wear masks while seated. Check back in October for the festival map!
Tickets are on-sale Thursday July 1st at 11AM. Advanced tickets are highly recommended. SCREAM sells out every year!
We much rather prefer that you present a printed digital ticket. However, if you’re using a digital ticket, your phone screen must be at full brightness. Please have it ready upon entry.

SCREAMFEST is NOT the same as SCREAM. Yes we know it's very confusing - considering they are both the same name. SCREAMFEST happens in Calgary. We can not honour any tickets from SCREAMFEST at our event.
